JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the general guidance and direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, will assist in the planning, organization, and supervision of concession stands at the Golden Spike facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Stocks and maintains cleanliness of the concession stands. Keeps inventory of the stand. Maintains records of total inventory and money balances from opening through closing of each event.
Assists in recruiting, training and supervising part-time personnel engaged in the preparation and dispensing of food and drinks.
Prepares food and beverage as requested and maintains cleanliness of all food and beverage areas including kitchen and concession stands. Assists in set up and serving of any area necessary during events.
Ensures compliance and enforces all food handling rules and guidelines.
Adheres to policies and procedures set forth by the Weber County Commission and the GSEC management.
Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education: No minimum education required.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in Concessions Operation, including alcoholic beverage service or experience with leading a team.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):
Knowledge of: Considerable knowledge of buying and selling semi-prepared foods and selected items. Working knowledge in training, planning and scheduling the work of subordinates. Working knowledge of state and local health laws pertaining to the storage, preparation, and serving of food and beverages.
Skills and Abilities to: Skill in good housekeeping practices of areas where food is stored, prepared and served. Skill in the preparation and service of food and beverage items. Skill in using a cash register, calculator, barbeque and/or gas grills, hot dog rollers, nacho well warmer, convection oven, coffee pour over and percolator, popcorn popper, warming ovens, deep fryers, other misc. kitchen tools and appliances, truck/car, and motorized utility vehicle.
Ability to control and monitor cash receipts and inventory. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public in a courteous, cooperative, and professional manner. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
YOUR SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a food handler permit.
Must be able to get TIPS certified.
Must be adaptable to changing work hours as hours may vary depending on scheduled events.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must have a valid Utah Driver’s License and a good driving record.
Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment background check prior to starting the position.
